At the age of 21, Egon Oldendorff takes
control of small Hamburg shipping
company Lilienfeld & Homuth
Lübeck

Hamburg
Due to a busy liner trade in the Baltic, the company moves
its headquarters to Lübeck
1945
At the outbreak of WW2, 13 steamers
are operated in European waters.
Most of these are either requisitioned,
seized, sunk or scuttled
